The Red Arrows fly over the crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace in central London on Monday after a military procession to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, marking the day the Allies announced the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War II.

Thursday marks 80 years since Victory in Europe Day, when the Allies accepted Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender. The day will be marked with memorials and moments of silence across Europe.
